Region IV - Information and Education

Hunter Education

Region IV’s Information and Education Section is responsible for writing and distributing weekly news releases that inform the public about Agency programs and opportunities available to them. Coordinating and working exhibits at boating, fishing, and hunting shows as well as participating in youth educational programs such as conservation field days and kids fishing events are other section responsibilities. Outreach to the adult population is an important component in the I&E program, such as the BOW program (Becoming an Outdoors Woman). Shooting sports education and instruction like the Scholastic Clay Target Program and Archery in the Schools are activities the Information and Education section is involved with.
